RRB ALP Selection Process
First Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-1)- The purpose of this preliminary screening stage is to assess the applicant’s general intelligence, critical thinking, mathematical proficiency, and current events awareness. It reduces the enormous volume of applications to a manageable amount for the ensuing phases.
Second Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-2): There are two components to this computer-based exam for the position of Assistant Loco Pilot. Math, reasoning, basic science and engineering, and current affairs are all covered in Part A’s questions. The particular technical knowledge required for the job is tested in Part B.
Computer-Based Aptitude Test (Only for ALP): This exam assesses the candidate’s mental and psychomotor abilities. To take this test, candidates must meet a minimum score requirement. The score is only useful for those applying for the ALP position.
Document Verification: In order to confirm the authenticity of their documents, candidates must present the originals.
Medical Examination: To make sure the candidates are medically fit to perform ALP duties, a vision test, a fitness test, and other health-related assessments are included in the examination.

- The first stage, CBT 1, serves as a preliminary screening test and includes 75 questions.

- Each question in the two sections is worth one point.
