Selection Process
To become a Jail Warder or Matron, you have to go through a few tests. First, you take a written test with multiple-choice questions. If you pass that, you do physical tests to see how strong and fast you are. Finally, they’ll decide who gets the job based on how well you did in all the tests.
Examination Schedule

Paper Pattern & Exam Scheme
The exam will be conducted in two parts:
- Part A: Punjabi Language (qualifying nature) – Candidates must score at least 50% to qualify for the next stage.
- Part B: Subject-specific questions – The marks obtained in this part will determine the candidate’s rank in the merit list.
Punjab Jail Warder Admit Card Details
The admit card will tell you important things like your name, number, where you’ll take the test, when and where the test is, and what to do on test day. Make sure everything on the admit card is correct. If something is wrong, tell the people in charge right away.
When you take the test, bring a photo ID and a printed copy of your admit card. Also, have two recent photos ready. Your ID can be something like an Aadhar Card, PAN Card, driver’s license, or bank book with a photo.
