Age Relaxation

  • Candidates domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 are eligible for an age relaxation of 5 years.
  • For PwBD-UR (Unreserved) candidates, there is an age relaxation of 10 years.
  • For PwBD-OBC (Other Backward Classes) candidates, the age relaxation is 13 years.
  • For PwBD-ST/SC (Scheduled Tribes/Scheduled Castes) candidates, the age relaxation is 15 years.
  • Candidates who are ex-servicemen will receive an age relaxation of 5 years.
  • Despite these relaxations, applicants’ maximum upper age limit should not be more than 54 years.

Application Fees

Candidates who fall under the General and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories are needed to pay an application fee of Rs. 500. However, candidates from SC/ST groups, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying any application fee.

Selection Process

Grade C and B Posts

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT)- This is the first phase of the selection process and gets a total of 100 marks. Candidates need to get the minimum qualifying marks to go to the next step.
  • Personal Interview (PI)- Candidates who qualify the CBT are qualified for the PI. There are no qualifying marks set for the PI.

Grade A

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT)- For the post of “Confidential Secretary” in Grade A, the CBT carries a total of 100 marks and a weightage of 100%.
  • Proficiency Test/Skill Test: Candidates who clear the CBT will be shortlisted for the Proficiency Test/Skill Test in a ratio of 1:2 based on merit.
