Eligibility Details
To be eligible for the HPSC PGT recruitment, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
Educational Qualification
Common Qualification for All Posts:
- To have finished high school with Hindi or Sanskrit.
- Or, you could have finished 12th grade or have a bachelor’s or master’s degree with Hindi as one of your subjects.
- To pass the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) or School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
- To have good grades in your studies.
Subject-wise Qualifications:
- Subject: Biology (PGT Biology)
- Master’s degree: Required in a science field like Zoology, Botany, etc. with at least 50% marks.
- B.Ed degree: Also required from a recognized university.
Age Limit
- Candidates should be between 18 and 42 years of age as of the closing date of the application.
Nationality
- An Indian citizen
- A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan person who came to live in India forever before January 1, 1962.

Selection Process
The selection process for the HPSC PGT recruitment comprises three stages:
- Screening Test (if applicable): The screening test will have 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for 2 hours.
- Subject Knowledge Test: The subject knowledge test will be 150 marks for 3 hours.
- Interview/Viva-Voce: The interview will carry a weightage of 12.5%. A skill test will be conducted before the interview for subjects like Music, Physical Education, and Fine Arts.
