Educational Qualification Required
Applicants must meet the specific educational requirements listed for each position. Higher levels of qualification than those necessary are not accepted. For example, positions as Diploma Technicians require a Diploma in Engineering, whereas Operator roles require an ITI with NAC/NCTVT.
Age Limit (as of 01-05-2024)
The following is the maximum age for candidates, with any applicable exceptions:
- UR/EWS: 28 years
- OBC-NCL: 31 years
- SC/ST: 33 years
- PwBD: 38 years, with further relaxations for SC/ST and OBC-NCL categories.
- Ex-Apprentice Trainees: Relaxation equivalent to the period of apprenticeship training.
- Ex-Servicemen: Additional relaxations as applicable.
Selection Process
A written exam is part of the selection process, and document verification comes next:
- Written Exam: The written exam, which consists of 160 multiple-choice questions divided into three sections—General Awareness (20 questions), English & Reasoning (40 questions), and the relevant discipline/trade (100 questions), is set to take place in Bangalore. There will be a 2.5-hour test.
- Document Verification: The documents of the candidates who made the short list based on their performance on the written exam will be checked. Final selection is contingent upon satisfactory verification of all requisite documents.
