Eligibility Requirements for Aircraft Technician Vacancies
Educational Qualifications
- For the position of aircraft technician, candidates must have at least one year of aviation experience in addition to a diploma in mechanical engineering or aircraft maintenance engineering (AME).
- For the position of Trainee Aircraft Technician, candidates must have at least one year of aviation experience and a diploma in either Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Radio/Instrumentation Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME).
Age Limit (as on 01-06-2024)
Candidates should be at least eighteen years old, with the following age limit as the upper limit:
- For General/EWS category candidates: 35 years
- For OBC category candidates: 38 years
- For SC/ST category candidates: 40 years

Contract Period & Emoluments
The fixed-term contract’s original term is five years, but it may be extended for an additional five years if both the candidate and the employer so choose. An Aircraft Technician will be paid ₹27,940 per month upon joining, according to the AIESL-approved compensation structure. Additionally, AIESL will give Trainee Aircraft Technicians a ₹15,000 stipend.
AIESL Technician Selection Procedure
An interview and a skill/trade exam will be used to choose which prospects to choose.
