Educational Qualification
The following list of educational requirements is provided by the commission and corresponds to the post:
- For I.M.A. and Officers Training Academy, Chennai: A candidate should have any graduation degree or equivalent from a recognised university or institute.
- For Indian Naval Academy: Candidates should have an Engineering degree or equivalent from a recognised university or institute.
- For Air Force Academy: A degree from a recognised university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the 12th level and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Age Limit
Candidates should have a minimum age requirement of 20 years old and a maximum age limit of 24 years old. The candidates’ dates of birth are July 02, 2001, and July 01, 2005, respectively.

Registration Fee
Candidates must pay ₹200/-through any State Bank of India branch by cash, debit card, credit card, visa, master card, or UPI payments, or by using any bank’s online banking services (with the exception of SC/ST/female candidates, who are exempt from the registration fee).
UPSC CDS II Selection Process
- Written Exam: Different written exams will be required for admission to different Indian Military Forces courses. The results of the written exam will determine a candidate’s eligibility for the next round of the selection process.
- Interview: To assess the candidate’s intelligence and personality, the commission will hold an interview. One of the Service Selection Board Centers will host the event.
Note: Each course, such as Indian Military, Indian Naval, and Air Forces Wings, will receive the same number of marks for both the written exam and the interview.
